Steve Greist is a comic actor, singer, screenwriter, and director, recently set adrift in Los Angeles. In December 2017, he finished his MFA in film and television production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. There, he wrote and directed a number of short films—Trou de Cul (“Asshole”), Everybody Does It, American Cradle Song, Dawn of the Dumb—all of which will be making their festival runs in 2018—or going VIRAL online, if they must. To give you a taste of his already eclectic portfolio of work in 2018, he has acted in his first feature film, Alaska, directed by Quinn Armstrong. A filmmaker interested in creating LGBTQ and female-driven narratives, you can find some of his work on Vimeo, if you’re so bold as to search “Steve Greist.”
